The Villa has been recently refurbished from what originally the ancient winery of the farm.
It is located in the Prince court of an old, large lemon estate owned by an important aristocratic Sicilian family.
The Villa is on the historic Easter seaboard of Sicily, close to the fashionable resort of Taormina and in full view of the magnificent Etna volcano. Although within a mile of the coast, it lies amidst its own ancient olive groves and verdant citrus farm. The accommodation is a recent conversion of an ancient winery practically adjacent to the country seat of an important ducal Sicilian family, who did it for themselves.
It is on three levels, respecting the original features of the winery. Thus there is a big and airy galleried hall with a terracotta tiled floor and a large fireplace in old Taormina stone; a balcony level leads to one double bedroom with bathroom (with tub) en suite and two twin bedrooms, with one bathroom (with tub) and a laundry; on the ground floor a large kitchen/diner tiled with beautiful blue and white Sicilian Caltagirone tiles opens onto the grapevine-shaded terrace and lawn; and a lower ground level hides the master bedroom and bathroom suites and a twin bedroom with another bathroom, besides a comfortably furnished library/TV area.
The Villa is today a charming, comfortable villa , completely independent.
The villa has got an exclusive entrance from the garden, a mature Mediterranean evergreen garden with old olives trees and a lush lawn, a small sophisticated swimming pool mosaic-lined and decorated with ancient stones and an original lava-stone wine-spout which nowadays gushes water instead of wine. The pool is equipped with a hydro massage area and a powerful jet for swimming while in place.
It has a private parking area for 3 cars.
